A FEW IDEAS TO GET YOU STARTED
Three small experiments.
Use Quick start inside the studio, or follow a guided classroom project.
Give an idea a dimension.
Choose Line and switch on Draw to size. Click a start point, aim the pointer, type a length in millimetres and press Enter. Keep going to build a shape.
Start with the real world.
Open Camera & trace and choose Try a sample or import your own image. Explore the trace settings, then add the vectors to your drawing.
A few useful things to know.
Is this the actual drawing software?
Yes. This demonstration uses Forma’s drawing engine, including precise lines, shape editing, fillets, image tracing and design wizards. It opens without an account. Managed school accounts and Windows licensing are arranged separately.
Does this browser demo operate a laser?
This online demonstration focuses on drawing, image processing and file preparation. Arrange a demonstration with Specialised to explore the complete integrated workflow with a connected laser system.
Can I keep what I draw?
Yes. Use Save project to download an editable .forma file, or Export for formats such as SVG and DXF. A recovery copy is kept in this browser when storage is available. Save a file before clearing site data or using a shared device.
Will my images or camera feed be uploaded?
No. Drawing and image processing happen on your device. The camera only starts after you choose Start camera and grant browser permission. An imported image or the built-in sample can be used without camera access.
Does this start a 30-day school trial?
No. This is an open demonstration without a countdown. Contact Specialised Laser Systems to arrange a managed school trial, discuss classroom accounts or explore Windows installation.
